I went to college at the University of Rochester and graduated in 1995 with a BA in Biology. I was married two years later and was a stay at home mom for my three children until 2008 when I started working in a residential program for boys ages 5-12. I was a residential counselor for 3 years and a case manager or 1 year. In 2012 I quit my job to go to Roger Williams University’s Masters of Teaching program, where I focused in Elementary Education. I graduated in May of 2015. Here I am today!
I am certified to teach all subjects and am focusing on Math and Science as these are my strengths and greatest passions in school.
Blizzard Bag Information
Many Ohio school districts have transitioned to counting hours this year as opposed to days; however, due to the dates that our collective bargaining agreements were finalized with employees, our district will continue to count days for this year and next year. Consequently, we have five days to utilize as calamity days, and we will be required to account for any full days missed beyond five. However, the first three days beyond five will not need to be made up by students attending school. This year the district will utilize three Blizzard Bag days as make up days. On the first full day missed, Blizzard Bag Lesson #1 will be utilized, on the second full day missed, Blizzard Bag Lesson #2 will be utilized, and on the third full day missed, Blizzard Bag Lesson #3 will be utilized. If more than eight full days are missed, each day must be made up according to the schedule that would be set.
8th Grade Algebra Practice
Blizzard Bag lessons will be placed on the district’s website, and students will have two weeks to complete the lessons and return them to the teachers. The lessons can be accessed via a link on the district’s homepage. Students who do not have access to the internet will be given paper copies of the lessons by their teachers and be given two weeks to complete the lessons and return them to teachers. All students except preschool students will be required to complete the lessons in lieu of making up days 6, 7 and 8.
