I recently bought the desktop apps for Mac from the Serif site, but I sort of wish for two reasons to buy it from the Mac App Store instead. I want the auto-update system and I am very tied to my Apple ID, but Id also not mind supporting the team with a little more revenue. Apple generally sells most of its software in the US, making it safe to conclude that it holds the top slot there. This is helped along by the fact that the Mac App Store is not yet available in. A bit late, but: What if you grant everybody who downloads your software via the app store an additional copy distributed as a binary, outside of the app store, free of charge? There may be restrictions on the first copy recieved via the app store, but this way you as a developer impose no restrictions on the user's use of the app (that is, the union of both copies). – jdm Mar 24 '14 at 22:40.
